DOHA-QATAR Chapter 2

Hi again! Meet me again for 2nd chapter of my journey to the gulf city....😃

Last writing I told to you all that I missed my Morrocan friends...yes I did ! But, well.....let it be the memories and I just wish and pray that I can go visiting them there to Morrocco.

Okay now let's continue the stories then....

We had fun classes for 4 days,,,full of knowledge from Mr. William Lau. He taught us everything about Singapore.

In Sunday afternoon, I walked for almost 1 km to the nearest shopping arcade and I found Mc D. Wow...it's arabian Mc D how nice ! 😂😃 I bought 1 portion of Kabab and I ate it deliciously...hmmmm....yummy!  After eating the whole portion of kabab, then I went home to the hotel through a big beautiful park. It was spring season where all the flowers groomed beautifully....I was really enjoying myself at the park.

Then the night come...time to enjoy and relax in my expensive 5 stars intenational hotel! Very cozy! But it was too cold inside the room...then I realized that dessert climate can easily change drasticaly! I was freezing and I could find the heater! Hahahahaha....it was so funny so I was hiding under the thick blanket and bedcover 😂😃

I woke up freezingly in the next first day of the course. I used the room's iron that was hanged inside the big cupboard. Ooowh...so this was the 5 stars room hotel, had a very complete vanities inside it! Great!

I was enjoying my hot water shower, and dressed up and be ready for the second day of the course.

The situation inside the class had a warm atmosphere and we got close each other. After the class, Mr. William asked us whenever part of want to join him to see the downtown. Wow.....it was time for me to see the Doha city without anxious. I said yes and my Morroccan friends were also want to join Mr. William...sooooo there we started my experience! First of all, I must follow them moving out to another hotel. They want to move to a cheaper one but much nicer! I followed the female Morroccan. I enter to her room and watch her packing up everything. She gave her special morroccan bread and banana and orange she brought from her country! Hahahaha   my God! Alhamdulillah those were very delicious!

Then we met up at the meeting point scheduled before. We went to the city by taxi. We paid together so it could be cheaper. Doha didn't have any integrated public transportation like what Singaporean!

First of all, we visited The Corniche. It was like a beach actually, where we could see the unique buildings at the downtown from the Corniche bay. Very interesting! Then we went to the downtown and saw the uniqueness of the building clearer. Owh I forgot to tell you! Our taxi driver was from India and he loved to drive faster and make all of us worried about the speed! Hahahaha...but then Mr. William told him to slow the speed down, and he did. Then, we went to the Villagio Mall and The Torch Doha Hotel stood up near the mall.

Villagio Mall was designed following the shape of a famous Italian river called Venice. The river and the cloud were created like in the Venice looked a like! We could also rode on a boat, just like what in the Venice was! It was such a luxurious mall I ever seen. It was very beautiful! I love enjoying the scenery of the mall. Very amazing concept for a mall! I bought a Qatary horse doll to be brought to Indonesia!

After spending lot of time inside the mall, then we went outside to see the Torch Doha Hotel. The hotel was exactly like a torch! We took pictures there until midnight came and we went to the hotel by taxi.

The second day was more fun then I tought. We had a paper to be done and presented in front of the class. I was trembling because it was my first time speaking english in front of the foreign people and describe my paper. Fyuh...done finally. I was enjoying other's country presentation and it was all fun. After the class, Mr. William invite me and the Morroccan to have dinner at the very famous arabic traditional market called Souq Waqif. At the scheduled time, we came to the Souq Waqif. There were many shop houses there consist of restaurants and antique stores. We enjoyed it very much. Mr. William asked us to have dinner at The Iraqi restaurant. Hmmmmmm...such a first experience to me. I didn't notice the menu but they were all amazing! They had amazing taste! All the lambs...the tea...everything! All of them were delicious! I love them! And then time to to go to our hotel and slept tight.

We had a formal dinner invitation from the Qatary government on the third day after the course. We were all invited to Shuker Basha Turkish restaurant inside the Katara Village Center. Before we had our dinner, we went to see the Pearl Qatar. It was the most expensive housing complex and apartment in Doha. They had its unique big pearl as the icon. After seeing the Pearl of Doha, we went to see another part of Katara Village; pigeon area, the beach, the huge stadion, and so on....a very amazing moment of mine, alhamdulillah....for the blessing!

So, I got the third experience of another cuisine at dinner time in Katara Village Center, and this time came from Turkish dishes! The dinner was so amazing. I had a luxurious dinner ever in my whole life!

Then...it is time for the last day....hiks..... we had photo session after the class. I was separated from my Morroccan friends because I had appoinment with my Indonesian friend; Bu Anita. What a very friendly woman. I miss you Bu Anitaaaaa....She accompanied me to the cheapest souvenir stores, gave me advice to spend all my Qatar Riyal, bought me special Qatary dishes, and many advices from her. Alhamdulillah once again ya Allah....

Then...time to go home. I packed evenly and ready to fly home with Qatar Airline. I walked to the airport because it was very close from the hotel. Love it!

I do really missed the time I had in Doha.....I got many things ther...ya Allah...give me another chance to visit another country! Aamiin.....
