DOHA-QATAR Chapter 1

ALHAMDULILLAH....that was the only word I could say when I heard the news about going to Doha to take a short course. Yes I was dreaming about going to Arab or Europe someday but never imagine that I could go this fast. I was very excited! 😀😀😀😁😁😁😁😄😃

Once I received the Letter of Acceptance from Doha's institution, then I started to book flight and hotel (HRD helped me a lot! Thank you!). HRD never been booked flight to arab before, neither did I! But then I remembered my hubby's cousin that worked in one of the famous travel agent in Jakarta: Bayu Buana.

Then, the application for booking flight and hotel done in an instant. I went to Doha by Qatar Airways and stayed at Oryx Rotana Hotel Doha, where the short course was held.

Then, the experience began! I went to Doha ALONE. ALL BY MYSELF. With the prayers from many people in my office and family. I had flight at 00.30 on Sunday and will be in Doha 8 hours later.

Inside the aircraft, which was very big, I sat on window-seat. I had two dinner at once 😀😁😂; at 01.30 above Indonesian sky and at 07.00 (didn't notice where was I) 😃😃😃. The flight attendance were all very beautiful but a bit mean 😂😃😄...no..I meant, they were all stricked and firmed!

I got economic flight at that time, but I got the biggest experience for meal. To me, that was quite luxurious meal I ever had! I enjoyed it very much. I had meal twice. The aircraft was very big and had many toilets in it. There were lots of vanities inside the toilet and the hand lotion was very very very fresh and smell very good! Like a parfume! Love it and feel like wanted to take it out and kept it in my pouch! 😂😃😃😀

And finally, I was landed at Doha. I was crying. I was very very very joyful and could not believe it 😢😢 But that was me! At Doha airport! My heart was beating faster, and many questions came up in my mind. What would I do? Where should I be gone? Etc....

But I just follow my steps and kept praying. There, at the exit gate, I found many hotel booth, and tralaaaaa...I found Oryx Rotana Hotel! Yuhuuu 😃😀😁
But there was a bit mistake about my booking. They misspeled my name. But it was corrected not for a long time, I was received on their hotel finally. And they said they had a shuttle bus that could bring me to their hotel. And brooomm...we were out to hotel that was not far from the airport.

Owh ya...before leaving the airport, I went to the stall that sold local cellphone number. My telkomsel number could not be read there in Doha, so I have to buy some so that I still communicate by whatsapp to the people in Indonesia.

Then....I was in Oryx Rotana. The bell boy was from Vietnam. He asked some tips from me, then I gave him some, maybe just too much for him, because I did not know wether it was cheap or expensive.

The first thing I did in the hotel was taking pictures and selfie...ofcourse!! Walking around the hotel and a bit outside the hotel. It was very quite. I was scared going too far from hotel. Meanwhile, I was very hungry, and do not know where I should buy some meal?! I was too affraid to go outside, many big men out there...I was just scared. Then I decided to buy meal inside the hotel, I reserved it from my room, room order. I chose indian food. Then, 15 minutes later my meal came. It was a very big portion to me! Wow...but yeaah...it tasted so so....since it was too big for me, then I divide it into 2 parts, 1 part for lunch, and 1 part for dinner later on.

And, during the day on that breezing sunday, I just wandering inside the hotel, too affraid to go outside.

Oryx Rotana Hotel Doha was a 5 stars hotel in Doha. It was quite expensive one, but it was very luxurious hotel. They had complete vanities inside the room. I saw robe, and I could use iron and its folding table. Too cool!

Then came the first day of the course. I saw many Qatari young ladies standing near the meeting room, and I asked them wether I was in the right place or not. They answered in a wrong manner way, they were not friendly at all, but they showed me the correct room. Okay! No problem!

Then the class began. It was such a happy class. I met friends from Morrocco, Oman, Bangladesh, Iran, Singapore (the trainer), and Qatari. I could admit that qatari women were not friendly at all! I sat beside qatari woman, and she kept quiet during the class. She only answered some short answers only when I asked! Fyuh...

I was quite near with the Morrocan. Although we had difficulties in our communication because they both didn't speak english very well, then we used google translation to help us! 😃😃😃😃😃 The Morrocan were such friendly nice guys! Like them lah! I helped them out moving from one hotel to another hotel. They gave me some fresh juice made in Morroco , ate their fruit, bread, etc. I was glad to eat them!

Oyea, Doha was known as the most expensive city in arabic gulf area. So, the Morrocan bought their own meal from Morroco because it was cheaper (ofcourse!)

My Morrocan friends were a man and a woman. Their name were Azdeen and Bahiya. They were handsome and beautiful! They spoke french fluently, and their accent were also french. We were going out all together after class. They understand me very much because I was alone. They were such a friendly guys ever! Oooowh....how I missed then already 😢😢😢

Okay...I was too sleepy to wrote this ... I must continue tomorrow the second chapter! See yaaah! And...good night!
